It was a busy week for the Fairfield Lady Eagles last week as they got in eight matches. They faced some tough competition and went 3-5 on the week to move to 13-11 overall on the season. Fairfield traveled to Whitehouse on Thursday and Saturday to compete in a very competitive tournament.

“Overall, the tournament was extremely good for us. We played highly competitive teams, and two of the teams (Spring Hill and Lindale) we competed really well against in the championship match,” Head Coach Kelly Ridge said. “We went 2-1 on Thursday, only losing to Lindale who won the whole tournament. We made the Championship bracket again and went 1-2, dropping a match to a competitive Spring Hill team as well as Texas High.

On Thursday, Sept. 5, Fairfield defeated North Lamar 25-13 and 25-12 and Marshall 25-21 and 25-21, before falling to Lindale 2522 and 25-20.
