The Wortham City Council approved the closure of downtown Main Street for the First Baptist Church of Wortham’s Annual Fall Festival at its Tuesday, Aug. 12, meeting.
Festival organizer Courtney Spencer noted the festival will be held on Brickstreet, as the area is known, Oct. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.
“There will be games for kids of all ages, food and drink vendors, as well as traditional fall festivities,” Spencer said. “We are hoping for another great turnout this year. We enjoy bringing our community together to make this event happen.”
