Last week, everyone enjoyed delicious and satisfying lunches. A special thank you to Carl and Steven Senter for treating our group to delightful donuts. It was a thoughtful and generous gesture that everyone appreciated. We even savored the one cloudy day and felt a few raindrops.
On Wednesday, we were entertained and pleased to welcome back Sindra McLean, who sponsored Bingo. She always knows how to capture everyone’s attention and adds a personal touch to our favorite Wednesday event.
On Thursday, Aug. 14, we celebrated Carl’s 93rd Birthday at the Teague Center, with everyone enjoying Carla, his daughter, who surprised us all with a large, beautifully decorated birthday cake, offering our choice of white or chocolate. Not only did she bring the cake, but she also served it. It was perfectly delicious and extremely moist! I heard that Carl also enjoyed a mouthwatering meal that evening with his family, which included ham dressing, apple pie, and who knows what else—how wonderful!
