The Fairfield Eagles hosted the Bullard Panthers on Thursday night, Aug. 21.

“I am pleased with how hard we are playing,” Head Coach John Bachtel said. “We corrected a lot of things from the scrimmage against Athens. I felt that we executed well on offense and our defense did a good job of getting to the football with a bad attitude. We also caused turnovers which we haven’t done well the past few years. We still need to correct some things, but I am excited about the direction we are heading.

During the scrimmage, Kohl Collins connected for long passes to Finn Smith, one for a touchdown and Connor Colvert. Landon Washington completed a long pass to KD Hicks. KD Hicks had two interceptions, one for a touchdown. Colvert scooped up a fumble that would have been returned for a touchdown. According to Bachtel, the defense swarmed to the football all night.
