Well, summer is almost officially over. As we reach the end of August, I want to inform you that the senior center in Teague will be closed on Monday, September 1st, for the Labor Day holiday. Make sure to stop by any time from Monday through Friday, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.. You’ll find good fellowship, delicious lunches, fresh coffee, and Margaret’s famous iced tea waiting for you.
I want to remind everyone that on Friday, August 29, after lunch, Jennifer will host our annual Hawaiian luau. There will be drawings, prizes, and fantastic tropical ice cream sundaes with all the toppings, courtesy of our generous sponsor, Erin Tacker, along with Fairfield Nursing and Rehab. This is an exciting way to end the summer, so thank you, Erin and Fairfield Nursing and Rehab!
We also have our regular Wednesday bingo sessions, which are always a blast! It’s fun whether you win or not. Last Wednesday was no different, as we enjoyed Brandi from Accent Care. She brought laughter and a positive vibe to our center. Brandi called the entire game, including blackout, while I attended to other duties. She always brings excellent prizes and knows just what our participants will love.
