A new Texas law was passed recently, to help keep players, coaches, and game officials safe during games.
Senate Bill 2929 (SB 2929) goes into effect immediately for the 202526 season. The Bill states that game officials may now REMOVE SPECTATORS IMMEDIATELY for disruptive or inappropriate behavior. No warning is required. If a spectator is asked to leave, the decision is FINAL under Texas law.
The University Interscholastic League (UIL) adds that it would like your (fans) cooperation to help model good sportsmanship, and protect the integrity of our programs.
