The Fairfield Eagles took a huge 33-0 Homecoming win over the Brownsboro Bears on Friday night, Sept. 13, to move to 1-2 on the season.
“Our kids really performed well against Brownsboro,” Fairfield Coach John Bachtel said. “That was the performance I have been waiting to see out of our guys.”
With 8 minutes 33 seconds left in the first quarter, Kieran King kicked a field goal to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead. Later on in the first quarter, a long punt put the Bears near the end zone where they would have to work their way all the way down the field. Armando Charles tackled the Brownsboro ball carrier in the end zone for a safety and two points to make it a 5-0 game.
