Constitutional Amendment Nov. 4 Election Breakdown

A statewide constitutional amendment election is slated for Nov. 4, 2025. State representatives will not be on the ballot, as Texas holds elections for its House and Senate seats every evennumbered year, but their recent legislative session resulted in 17 proposed constitutional amendments.

While this reporter wouldn’t dream of telling you how to vote, I do want you to have a full understanding of what changes are proposed, and why, when possible. (This data helps you to be prepared for and familiar with the information you will be voting on, and researching any amendment you are undecided on before heading to your polling place is a smart practice. If you’re not sure how to vote, I encourage you to seek out and listen to those who might be impacted one way or another.)

Texas Policy Research Action (TPRA) is a research-based organization that provides objective and truthful legislative insight and analysis to state lawmakers, their staff, and the public. You will find the ballot language and proposition summary for each amendment below.
