The Fairfield Lady Eagles knocked off the Leon Lady Cougars in five sets and went 3-1 in the West Tournament this past week to move 11-4 on the season.
Fairfield hosted the Leon Lady Cougars on Tuesday, Aug. 26, prior to Meet the Eagles. It was a great match as the Lady Eagles came out on top in five.
Leon came out on top in the first set 25-23 as Fairfield battled back in the second set for a 29-27 win. The Lady Cougars won the third set 25-17 before the Lady Eagles took the fourth set 25-21 to force a fifth set. Fairfield won the final match 19-17 for the home victory.
