The Teague Lions traveled to Tolar on Friday night, Sept. 5, and fell to the Rattlers by one, 13-12. Tegaue moves to 1-1 on the season.
“I felt like it was a game of some missed opportunities,” Coach Zachary Linscomb said. “We had a lot of things to try and overcome Friday night and we fought to give ourselves a chance to win, but in the end we just didn’t end up making enough plays and came up one point short.”
Teague had 115 rushing yards on the night. Ny’land Coaster led the way with 57 yards, Tripp Egbert 28 yards, Mario Cuevas 18 yards, Garrett Winkler 8 yards, and Jaden Cole 4 yards. Both Braden Gauntt and Coaster had 9 receiving yards for the Lions.
