I’m certainly thankful for the rain we’ve received. I wish it could have been more, but I appreciate the cooler temperatures. I’m glad to see our attendance is picking back up, and I hope that the cooler weather and our new September menu will bring everyone back in.
Eddie Miles was our only birthday celebrant in September among our regular dining room guests. Unfortunately, we were closed on his birthday and he did not come in until a day or two later. However, we made sure to celebrate by giving him his birthday card and promising ice cream sundaes along with cake or cookies for our upcoming birthday event, which I will announce in the next article.
With football season starting both locally and on television, it’s an exciting time of year! Sunday was also Grandparents Day, so happy belated Grandparents Day to all the wonderful grandparents out there. When Mom and Dad say no, Grandma and Grandpa often find a way to turn it into a yes.
