Barbara Lynn Green, 71, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
Barbara was born on October 6, 1953, to Mildred and Frank Guller in Oceanside, New York, and was the second born of their three children. She graduated from the State University of New York at Brockport in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and later worked as a social worker in nursing homes before retiring to dedicate herself fully to her family.
Barbara’s greatest joy in life was her loved ones, especially her two sons, Steven and Greg. She was faithfully present at every school event, whether it was a program, class party, or special occasion. She loved teaching her boys the value of financial responsibility and enjoyed spending time with them outdoors. One of their favorite activities was fishing at their lake property. Nothing brought Barbara more happiness, though, than being “Granny Bebe” to her three beloved grandchildren Paisley, Kinsley, and Ryan. Whether she was teaching them new recipes in the kitchen or enjoying arts and crafts together, she made every moment with them meaningful.
Barbara met Gerald on January 1, 1978, in Houston, Texas. They married in 1980 and celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this past June. Barbara and Gerald found their greatest joy in spending time with their grandchildren, cherishing the quiet moments and simple pleasures of family life. Together, they created a loving home in Fairfield, Texas where they resided for the last 42 years.
She was a devoted member of Temple Beth-El Synagogue in Corsicana, Texas, where she embraced her Jewish faith and treasured the friendships and community she found there.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Green; her sons, Greg (Nancy) Green, and Steven (Kelly) Green; her beloved grandchildren, Paisley, Kinsley and Ryan; and her brother Cliff Guller. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Guller; father, Frank Guller; and brother, Neil Guller.
Pallbearers were Greg Green, Steven Green, Kyle Frith, Joseph Hutchens, Paul Lyons, William McNeely, Glenn Peters, and Blake Shipp.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Tyler, TX, with Rabbi Frank Joseph officiating. Interment was under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
