Fairfield’s Homecoming was Friday so it was a busy day. Angelina Cobb was crowned the 2024 FHS Homecoming Queen this year. Congratulations!
Santa will be in Fairfield this Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the green barn. The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Breakfast with Santa. Children are encouraged to come and visit Santa in their pajamas.
The Freestone County Game Management will also be having their annual banquet on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Twisted Vines Event Center.
All of the pumpkins are out at Cooper Farms. Make sure to stop by and see all the different pumpkins and maybe snap a few fall photos.
This week’s Bible verse is Psalms 121:1-2. It says, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Many of us find ourselves stressed out throughout the week with our never- ending to-do list or with finances with all the price increases.
I am so thankful for praise and worship music and being able to listen to it. Also, God’s word brings me comfort. It is when I slow down to worship and read God’s word that my spirit calms down and I am able to refocus.
With all of the stress, a little encouragement can go a long way. I encourage you to take a moment this week and leave someone a little note of encouragement or a little gift to say thank you. It could make their day and give them what they need to make it the rest of the day.
My prayer for us this week is that we know that we can always turn to the Lord because he is always there for us; in both the good times and bad times. Until next week, make Him famous in all that you do!
