The City of Fairfield met for their monthly meeting on Tuesday night, Sept. 16, and after a lengthy discussion approved Curative as the health insurance for city employees. There was a 14% increase in the insurance policy. It was originally presented as a 17% increase, but they were able to get it down.
Council Member 5 Angela Oglesbee questioned the insurance presenter about city employees having issues getting their medications. He responded that he was unaware of the issue and that he would look into it. City Secretary Misty Richardson said she was unaware of the issue as well and that employees needed to make her aware so they could get it taken care of.
City of Fairfield employees currently have a $0 copay with the Curative insurance that the city provides.
