Katy and I enjoyed our weekend that wasn’t too busy. There was no football game on Friday night. Katy had a long weekend with Teague’s schedule. My long weekend is this weekend. I just wish all area schools had the same breaks. The first nine weeks of school have flown by. Before we know it, Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here. I love this time of the year.
Boo in the Park will be taking place in Fairfield on Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The annual Parkfest will take place in Teague on Saturday, Oct. 25. Mark your calendars for these events.
This week’s Bible verse is Psalm 27:1. It says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”I want to share a story I read recently online “A father watched his young child struggling to lift a heavy rock from his sandbox. He could move it a little so that it wobbled, but he didn’t have enough power in himself to get it over the edge onto the grass. After a while, the child gave up, and his father asked him if he’d used all the strength that was available to him.
