Freestone County Commissioners held back-to-back meetings on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, 2025, making decisions about a range of topics, including the appointment of a Constable Pct. 3, election matters, cybersecurity, and more.
Relating to the Constitutional Amendment Election on Nov. 4, 2025, County Judge Lloyd Lane explained the need for a change of Polling Place.
“There was a little confusion on the scheduling with the City for the green barn this year, so for early voting, there was something booked on the second Tuesday of early voting, and for that reason we couldn’t have (voting) there that day. Precinct 1 and 3 JPs were nice enough to allow the voters office to use their courtroom to have it, which will be better than using the election building because of the parking.”
