I apologize for the delay in last week’s article, due to deadline issues. Despite warm temperatures in the afternoons, the evenings and early mornings are pleasant. We are still hoping for rain.
It was heartwarming to see Kynlee Vaughn, the sweet granddaughter of Bill and Sue Allison, assisting with meal deliveries during fall break. Kynlee has been a dedicated young volunteer for a few years, bringing joy with her incredible smile. Special thanks to Peggy for providing napkins and four large packages of cookies, as well as to Patsy Henderson for the container of liquid half and half creamer. Barbara brightened things up, sharing a large box of glazed donuts with everyone. Our anonymous sponsor generously supplied powdered and liquid coffee creamers, replenished our salad dressings, ketchup, hot sauce, and provided new salt and pepper shakers for our tables.
Wow, is it Christmas or what? Our Activity Director, Jennifer, will be conducting monthly blood pressure checks on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m., starting on October 23rd. I’ll notify you in the article of the dates . We will be celebrating October Birthdays and hosting a Halloween Party on October 31st after lunch, with fun games, door prizes, and a costume contest.
