The Fairfield History Club collected and purchased over $1000 of items to help furnish the Freestone County Child Protective Services Board’s new Rainbow Room. This project was in conjunction with the General Federation of Women’s Club’s National Day of Service. Some of the items the club purchased were car seats and playpens. Items donated by the club members included clothes, socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, crib sheets, pack and plays, diapers, pacifiers, and blankets.
If you would like to contribute to this worthwhile cause, contact the board via Facebook on the Child Protective Services Board of Freestone County or reach out directly to the Rainbow Room coordinator, Beth Smith at 903-3893977.
