With the 2025-2026 school year well underway, you’ve likely seen (and stopped for) school buses in the early morning or late afternoon.
At Fairfield ISD, more than 65% of students are bus riders, and the district is committed to their safety, using a navigation system that has GPS routing capability and a badge system for students that allows parents to track their child(ren).
According to Superintendent Joe Craig, Fairfield ISD has enough drivers for their 16 routes, but just barely, due to a number of factors.
