Five generations of family and long-time friends gathered Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Historic Teague Hotel to celebrate the 100th birthday of Mildred Eleanor Harris (nee Blount).
Mildred, who lives in Teague, was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Hubbard.
She is an RN and worked for 13 years for Mexia State School before retiring in 1990. In the years that followed she worked as needed at retirement facilities in the tri-county area. She loves to travel and spend time with her three children, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
