Happy 250th anniversary to the United States Marines, founded on November 10th, 1775.
We proudly respect and support our men and women in the military. We are so blessed to have such qualified and dedicated men and women in the armed forces who sacrifice their time and service, and sadly some of their lives for their country. I encourage you to thank a veteran for his or her service, when the opportunity arises. I can’t even imagine how angry and disappointed Heavy West would be to see those abusing and burning the American Flag. He made a lasting impression on me. Heavy was a strong Patriot and loved his country and community. Often, after lunch, as he was leaving out the front door of the center, he would stop and look up, saluting the flag in front of our Center.
Thank you to Debbie Tugwell for the delicious donuts early morning last week, liquid coffee creamers, and a variety of salad dressings. Our folks are very observant and are so quick to provide the necessary items at just the right times. Good to have Debbie McDonald back after being out last week, lucky for me, she is back in her routine, being helpful and clearing tables after lunch. Great to see Sonya and her youngest grandson Jaxson visiting us.
