Freestone Commissioners Approve Roof Bid, Replat, and CPS Board Changes

Freestone County Commissioners met on Wednesday, Oct. 15 for their regular meeting, and took the following action: Approved minutes from the regular meeting on Oct. 1 and the special meeting on Oct. 6; Approved budget transfers and amendments; Approved payment of bills; Accepted the certification of additional revenue; Approved reports, certificates, and continuing education updates;

Approved the replat application of The Wilderness Phase V1; Renewed/updated info for the Criminal Justice Grant Program and the State Homeland Security Program for FY25; Approved going out for sealed bids on the roof replacement of Annex III/Federal Building, which has a significant leak that poses a serious risk of damage to the servers; Approved agreement between Inflection Point LLC and Freestone County Sheriff’s Office (regarding deputies’ laptops/ mobile devices to comply with cybersecurity requirements). The court also approved the mobile device management service for constables, the DA Investigator, and the Emergency Management Coordinator.

Voted to remove several members of the CPS Board: Anthony Roberts, Rhonda James, Laura Tugwell, and Amy Mullins for non-attendance, per bylaws; and Blair Gage for no longer residing in Freestone County; and Took no action on the payroll, the burn ban, and special road use agreements.
