Jeffrey Floyd, who serves as the Director of Design and Principal (Senior Leader in Management) for Claycomb Associates presented a schematic design of the new Fairfield High School to the Fairfield ISD school board on Tuesday evening, Oct. 14, at 6:00 p.m.
“I think everyone is excited and anxiously awaiting when some designs will be released,” FISD Superintendent Joe Craig said. “So far we have been working with Claycomb to come up with the layout as part of the schematic design portion. We have met with the architect about five different times during this process. They gathered input from teachers in the various departments at the high school and worked hard to make sure all the things we wanted in the building were included. The last several meetings were more about where tehese different programs would be placed and the layout and flow of everything.”
Floyd noted that the auditorium will seat over 1,200 people. The school will also have safe and secure entrances and new parking lots will be added around the new facility.
