Teague ISD recognized some students and staff members at the monthly school board meeting on Thursday night, Oct. 23. President Jeff Gonzales was not present so Vice President Debra Lawrence presided over the meeting.
Honored at top readers at Teague Elementary School were fourth graders Fatima Trejo and Silar Smith, third grader Wyatt Beldin, and second grader Starla Grube. Mason Roczniak was honored as the Teague Junior High Student of the Month.
Chasidy Phillips was recognized as Employee of the Month and Laura Sides as Teacher of the Month. The Administrator of the Month went to Crista Payne. Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations Emily Evans reported that the district received a 98 on its Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) rating. The district lost points on its administrator cost/ratio.
