The Fairfield Eagles traveled to Buffalo on Friday night, Sept. 20, and battled it out to bring home a 28-24 victory over the Bison. The Eagles are now 2-2 on the season.
“The boys just keep fighting,” Fairfield Coach John Bachtel said. “I’m proud that they kept playing and made plays to win the game.”
Buffalo took a 12-0 lead over Fairfield in the first quarter. With 1 minute, 14 seconds left in the first quarter, Kohl Collins connected with Kavion Hicks for a 69-yard touchdown. The PAT by Kieren King was good to cut Buffalo’s lead to five, 12-7. Neither team scored in the second quarter as the Bison took a 12-7 lead at the half.
