The Fairfield Lady Eagles went 2-0 this past week, picking up wins over Westwood and Centerville. The wins take Fairfield to 17-11 overall and 2-0 in district play.
“I knew if everyone trusted the process, the wins would come. We had a tough pre-season which prepared us for district and eventually playoffs,” Fairfield Coach Kelly Ridge said.
The Lady Eagles hosted the Westwood Lady Panthers in a district match last Tuesday, Sept. 17. The Lady Panthers came out and took the first set 25-21. However, the Lady Eagles battled back and took the next three sets easily 25-9, 25-14, 25-16 for the home win.
