This week’s article will be shorter than usual but big on news—thanks! I’m loving this fall weather and the cool mornings. I am almost as excited as my animals are about the relief from triple-digit temps! By now, everyone has changed their clocks back an hour for daylight saving time. I remember a pastor would always say, “That would be the one Sunday people don’t come in late, actually, they may be there an hour early”. Wow, the cooks did it again - wonderful lunches last week. Thanks to Kit Prasil for recruiting an excellent new volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels! Debbie Hamilton. We are so excited to have her on board. Her timing is perfect. Thank you so much, Debbie, for all you have always done for the community, and look forward to having you on our team. Last Tuesday Jennifer held a brief program on “ Pink Out For Cancer” month. Thanks to the people who participated in wearing pink. Friday, we celebrated are October birthdays with ice cream and homemade gingerbread muffins from our Anonymous sponsor and Jennifer. In addition to our birthday party we celebrated the annual Halloween costume contest and decorative sacks of candy for everyone. There was lots of fun, laughter, terrific drawings, and door prizes given out. Wow the table was full, they definitely were treated.
