Eagles Defeat Westwood 42-21; Claims District Championship

The Fairfield Eagles traveled to Westwood on Friday night, Oct. 31, and picked-up a 42-21 road win over the Panthers. The win moves Fairfield to 4-0 in district play and 9-0 overall. It is the first district championship for the Eagles since 2013.

“Our kids played really well Friday night,” Coach John Bachtel said. “We did a good job of containing #4 and our offense scored on six straight possessions and were in the victory formation on the seventh drive. I’m really proud of the team.”

Fairfield had 286 rushing yards on the night. Jason Brackens led the way with 119 yards. Kohl Collins had 112 yards, Khamrion Ingram 28 yards, Landon Washington 19 yards, Kyden Rodriguez 6 yards, and Finn Smith 2 yards. The Eagles had 251 receiving yards. Smith led the way with 97 yards. Kavion Hicks had 54 yards, Connor Colvert 53 yards, Tylan Davis 40 yards, and Ingram 9 yards.
