The Coolidge Lady Jackets season came to an end Nov. 6, when they fell to the Blum Lady Bobcats in the Class 1A Regional Quarterfinals playoff match, 9-25, 7-25, 15-25. The Lady Jackets went undefeated in district play, and end the year as the Class 1A, Region III Regional Quarterfinalist. Coolidge had a first round bye, then beat Aquilla in four sets in the Area round to advance to the Regional Quarterfinals. Blum moves on to face the Dodd City Lady Hornets in the Regional Finals.
In the Class 2A Division II volleyball playoffs, the Wortham Lady Bulldogs (18-15) ended their season as a Area finalist, after falling to the Riesel Lady Indians in four sets, 25-18, 2025, 21-25, 21-25. Wortham finished district play with a perfect 12-0 record. Riesel is also finished after losing to the North Hopkins Lady Panthers in four sets, 25-16, 20-25, 17-25, 21-25, in the Regional Semifinals.
After sweeping the Little River Academy Lady Bees in the Bi-District round, the Fairfield Lady Eagles season ended with a tough match against the Grandview in the Class 3A Division I Area playoff round in five sets, 17-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-15, 7-15. The Lady Eagles were 12-0 in district, and finished the year with a nice 32-7 record. Grandview went on to sweep the Woodville Lady Eagles in the Regional Semifinals, and will play the Troy Lady Trojans in the Regional Finals.
