During its regular meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 14, the Wortham City Council took several actions, including approving fireworks for the Wortham High School football game and denying a proposed rate increase by Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC.
Council members unanimously approved Resolution No. 844-1025, which formally denies Oncor’s proposed increase in revenue and rate changes.
In other business, the council approved entering into a general services agreement with Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. (SPI), as revised by the city attorney. Action on Resolution No. 845-1025, regarding budget amendments and overages for the 2024–2025 operating budget, was tabled until a later meeting.
