Under clear blue skies and a brisk November breeze, veterans, families, and community members gathered Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Veterans Remembrance Park in Teague to honor those who have served the nation in uniform.
The annual Veterans Day Ceremony opened with welcoming remarks from Beth Harrison, who reminded those gathered that the day was about “celebrating, giving honor, and remembering our veterans — not only across our country, but right here in our own community.”
Following the welcome, Terri Pryor-Patterson, a Gold Star mother and park board member, delivered a heartfelt invocation, asking God’s blessing over the men and women “who have worn our nation’s uniform with courage and selfless dedication.”
