Fairfield High School teacher Katie Wade addressed the FISD school board on Monday night, Nov. 10, at their monthly meeting concerning the teacher workload as well as other concerns. All board members were present.
“I am incredibly proud to teach at Fairfield High School and I care deeply about this school, but I would like to share a couple of concerns,” Wade said. “Please believe me when I say that teacher stress is at an all time high. We are expected to do more with less. We have larger class sizes then we have ever had, and less staff available.”
Wade noted that many students are below grade level.
