Just a quick update about last week! We’re so grateful for our wonderful volunteers and friends who keep our mornings special. Huge thanks to Carl and Kim Allen for the delightful assortment of donuts early in the week. It was especially nice to see Kim again — it’s been a while! Thanks also to Roger for the delicious apple fritters the week before. We truly appreciate Barbara from the Lord’s Storehouse for her generous gift of fresh butternut squash and bags of apples, along with the large containers of powdered Coffee-Mate and coffee — everyone was so grateful! Peggy’s perfect timing brought two big packages of napkins for our tables, which were just what we needed. And a big thank you to Brenda for the tasty southern pecan liquid coffee creamer.
We’re excited to welcome Hardy Henderson, a wonderful new driver for our Meals on Wheels Route 1. Hardy, a longtime community supporter from Teague, recently moved back home and had a great first experience riding with Steven Senter to get familiar with the route and our homebound friends. Hardy and his sister love the meals and the fellowship here, and we’re so happy to have him on board.
Wishing everyone a safe and joyful Thanksgiving — we have so much to be thankful for. Stay tuned next week for more updates and events! Please keep praying for our brave men and women in the military, and continue lifting our country and community. We’d love for you to come visit us!
