Bi-Stone Region Basketball in Full Play

Basketball in the Bi-Stone region is in full play, as teams got in at least a couple of games before the Thanksgiving break. This week, most of our area teams will compete in various tournaments, both boys and girls. A few teams that just wrapped up football, made it back to the hardwood and saw action as well. Still too early to have a clear path leader in either side of the spectrum, but after this coming weekend should give us an idea.

Next Tuesday, December 9, the Coolidge Yellowjackets will host Warringah – from Australia – at 5 p.m., in a rare, but more common these days, international matchup. You might want to hurry up and get tickets for this one as space will probably be limited.

Fairfield hits the court this week, scheduled to open their season against Lovelady on Tuesday, then tackle the Athens Varsity Tournament this weekend. The Fairfield Lady Eagles are ranked No. 1 in Class 3A, and improved to 4-0 with a couple of wins before the Thanksgiving holiday.
