Freestone Recorder-Chronicle Giving Tree

Freestone Recorder-Chronicle is working to make Christmas a little brighter for senior citizens in our community and wants your help.

Beginning today, the lobby of the newspaper has a barren Christmas tree in it. We want you to help us fill it not with ornaments, tinsel and lights, but with items for senior citizens – new and unopened packages of socks, underwear, PJs, hats, scarves, slippers and such.

During the Christmas holidays – and until Friday, Dec. 19, we’ll accept donations and put them on the tree with the intention of brightening the lives of our community’s seniors. The following week, we’ll deliver everything just in time for Christmas.
