Welcome to December! It’s getting colder, and we’re grateful for the much-needed rain. A big thank you to our wonderful folks at the center — Peggy, Carl, and Barbara — for the delicious donuts and cookies last week. We’re missing Sharon and hope she returns soon; everyone truly misses her.
Special thanks to Sue Allison and Travis Howard for working overtime to deliver meals last week. I really enjoyed riding with Hardy Henderson to deliver Route 1 meals last Thursday. He’s fantastic with the homebound folks, and we’re so proud to have him on our team. Happy birthday to Debbie Holland on December 6th and Alvin Burrell on December 13th!
We’re grateful to Debbie Tugwell for her excellent choice of bingo gifts she knows how to shop! Her support means a lot to us at the Senior Center. A big shoutout to everyone who helps in the kitchen, especially when cleaning up after lunch - your help is truly appreciated and makes a big difference. Thanks also to Erin from Fairfield Nursing and Rehab for calling Bingo last Wednesday. She always does such a fantastic job, and I jokingly told her she must be Santa’s little helper - I think he came early this year! She’s a sweetheart, and everyone loves her.
