The Fairfield Eagles went 4-0 this past week and won their own tournament. The wins move the Eagles to 7-2 on the season. Fairfield traveled to Venus on Tuesday night, Dec. 9, and defeated the Bulldogs 62-38. Madden McElroy led the way with 20 points. Kohl Collins added 10 points, Kavion Hicks and Connor Colvert 8 each, Braylan McMillian and Manny Brown 5 a piece, Tylan Davis 3, and Jaxon Utley and Zaylan McMillian 2 each.
The Eagles won the Fairfield Tournament over the weekend, Dec. 11-13. On Thursday, the Eagles defeated Athens 53-49. Fairfield came out on top of Palmer 76-54 on Friday night. On Saturday, the Eagles defeated Connally by three, 62-59, to win the tournament. Fairfield hosted Scurry-Rosser on Tuesday night, Dec. 16. The Eagles will travel to Groesbeck on Thursday night, Dec. 18, to take on the Goats to begin district play before Christmas break. Fairfield will compete in the Houston County Holiday Classic Dec. 29-30.
