The Fairfield City Council met for a short meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 9. During the meeting, the board approved hiring Trent Owen as a civilian/police cadet and to enroll in the Navarro College Police Academy for a January enrollment.
The board approved the minutes from the Nov. 18 council meeting. They also approved the bill register as of Nov. 30.
Mayor Bobby Nichols and department heads also gave their reports to the council.
