I sincerely apologize for omitting an important part of my article last week. The table was filled with incredible food and desserts, with a beautiful Christmas Centerpiece. A large decorated wreath with a Lantern in the center that made a great conversation piece. I admired it all day. Until it was completely over, I realized that it was a gift from the “Honeysuckle Florist” in Teague, to me personally! How awesome! I was more than thrilled. I am leaving it to be used as a big part of our Christmas party and for the remainder of December. Everyone enjoyed our annual Christmas lunch from Fairfield Senior Center on Wednesday December 17th; which just happened to be Autry Coaster’s birthday.
To say the lunch was delicious, would be an understatement. The Teague Senior Center will be closed in observance of Christmas holidays on December 24th, 25th, and 26th. We will return Monday December 29th, and celebrate our December birthdays on Tuesday December 30th with blue bell ice cream floats. Debbie Holland December 6th, Alvin Burrell 13th, and Autry Coaster 17th. Originally, my retirement date was Friday, December 12th. There have been some changes, and my last day will be December 31st. Just in time to call Bingo again, haha! Words could never express how much I appreciate all of the support that my friends and the Community have given to me, and the Senior Center!
A special thank you goes out to Tom Hitchcock for stopping by last Wednesday distributing Christmas cards with $5 and scratch off tickets inside to everyone!Tom is employed with L&M Trophy in Fairfield. It’s not the first time he’s done this. Last year, he was just as thoughtful!
