Realignment Coming Up in Early 2026

The numbers (from each school district) have been released, and the cutoffs (per UIL) for each classification have been announced as it’s that time again for realignment coming up in early 2026. Now it’s time to compare the two to see who stays put, and who moves up or down.

Most all of the Bi-Stone region teams should be safe to stay in their current classification.

For our Bi-Stone teams, starting with Class 3A, Division I, the cutoff numbers are 549-367. Right now, it looks like Mexia (514), Fairfield (506), and Groesbeck (464) are a safe bet to remain in that classification. Teague (363) is currently – by the numbers – classified to move down to Class 3A, Division II. However, if they so choose, the Lions could ask to stay in Class 3A, DI, but would have to put in a request to the UIL. The cutoff numbers for Class 3A, DII are 366.9246.
