The Fairfield Lady Eagles defeated Groesbeck and Elkhart this past week to pick up two big district wins. Fairfield moves to 1911 overall and 4-0 in district play.
“We knew last week would be a big one for us. Groesbeck and Elkhart have been playing well, and have gone five sets with several opponents,” Coach Kelly Ridge said. “To beat both teams in straight sets was the goal, and we absolutely achieved that goal with both teams.”
On Tuesday, Sept. 24, Fairfield traveled to Groesbeck and defeated the Lady Goats in three straight sets, 25-12, 25-15, 25-14.
