The Fairfield Lady Eagles played some tough competition in the 68th Annual Championship Tournament in Saginaw Dec. 29-31, going 2-2 in the tournament. The Lady Eagles move to 18-3 overall and 3-0 in district play.
On Monday, Dec. 29, Fairfield fell to the Gunter Lady Tigers by five, 44-39. Kaylee Williams led the way for the Lady Eagles with 20 points. Blayke Brackens added 10, Keke Alexander 3, and Aaliyah Nash, Kole Brackens, and KK Forge 2 each.
The Lady Eagles rebounded and picked up two wins on Tuesday, Dec. 30. Fairfield defeated Mabank 50-41 and Nacona 51-43. In the Mabank game, B. Brackens and Jacelynn Schmidt led the way for Fairfield with 15 points each. Williams added 6, Alexander and Nash 5 each, K. Brackens 3, and Forge 1.
