As many students enjoyed two weeks off for their Christmas break, many athletes only got a couple of days off as they had practice and were on the court playing ball. The following are hoop summaries from the central region over the break.
Mexia
The Blackcats(11-12) competed in the Eagle Mountain High School Tournament on Dec. 29-30. They fell to Peaster 65-49, Lorena 68-61, Decatur 5236, and Eastern Hills 4947.
