The community calendar is a great way to get all the necessary information out to the public, and best of all, it is FREE. This not only increases visibility and awareness, but also boosts likelihood of event coverage when the big day (or days) arrive. We can’t report on happenings that we aren’t aware of, after all. Send an email to news@fcrecorderchronicle. com with the subject line “Community Calendar Addition” and be sure to include all the key information related to your event: date, time, location, things to bring, a contact person, etc.
The Community Calendar is intended for events that are open to the public, so don’t send us private party info or family reunion details unless you are open to random guests. Events can be added well in advance, and there is a standing deadline of 5 p.m. on Fridays for inclusion in the following week’s print edition.
