Life can get busy at times and we can get in the same ole routines. For me it is driving a bus, teaching school, driving a bus, and coming home to my wife or covering events for the newspaper. I love visiting with my family and a few friends when I get the chance as well. I don’t get to visit with family and friends as much as I want to with our busy schedules.
I always have eyes on me, especially since I am around students all the time. We always have eyes on us, no matter who we are.
My students are always so excited to see me and tell me stories about their weekend or break. I have students tell me that they are thankful I listened to them or they appreciated me teaching them something new. To me, I was just listening or doing my job, but it made a difference in that child’s life. Sometimes, we may be the only light for that person in our life.
