The season came to an end for the Fairfield Lady Eagles on Saturday, April 27, with a 15-0 loss to the Lexington Lady Eagles at Madisonville High School. The Lady Eagles finish the season with an overall record of 15-13.
Lexington had 10 hits as Fairfield only had two. Madox Mitchael had the only two hits for the Lady Eagles, a single and a triple.
Alyssa Allen pitched two and one third innings as she struck out one batter. Kennedy Lane pitched one inning.
On Tuesday, April 23, the Lady Eagles traveled to Groesbeck and brought home a big 12-1 road win in five innings over the Lady Goats to finish in third place in the district behind Franklin and Teague.
The Lady Eagles had 11 hits as the Lady Goats only had two. Mitchael led the way with three hits as Zadie McPherson, Madelyn Morrison, and Lane had two hits each. Landry Bayless and Evelyn Fultz each had a hit for Fairfield as well.
Allen pitched the entire game for the Lady Eagles and struck out two batters.
