The Fairfield Lady Eagles defeated Buffalo and Mexia this past week to finish the first round of district play undefeated. Fairfield moves to 21-11 on the season and 6-0 in district play.
“The girls worked hard to earn an undefeated first round. But we know we have a target on our back now, so we’re ready to go to work to maintain our undefeated district season,” Coach Kelly Ridge said.
Fairfield is in first place with a 6-0 record, followed by Teague, Westwood, Elkhart, Groesbeck, Mexia and Buffalo.
