District realignments by the University of Interscholastic League (UIL) were announced on Monday morning, Feb. 2, at 9:00 a.m for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school years.
Groesbeck and Mexia will compete in 3A Division 1 in Region 2, District 6 for football along with Grandview, Keene, Palmer, West, and Whitney. Fairfield remains in 3A Division 1 in Region 3, District 9 along with Crockett, Diboll, Huntington, Palestine Westwood, and Trinity. Teague will be competing in 3A Division 2 in Region 3, District 11 along with Blooming Grove, Buffalo, Elkhart, Mildred, and Rice.
For volleyball and basketball, Fairfield, Groesbeck, Mexia, and Teague will all compete in 3A Region 3, District 17 along with Buffalo, Elkhart, and Palestine Westwood. Mildred will also be competing in district action for volleyball.
