Fairfield will remain in 3A Division 1 in Region 3, District 9 along with Crockett, Diboll, Huntington, Palestine Westwood, and Trinity.
“It’s always exciting when UIL has realignment,” Coach John Bachtel said. “We will have a little different non district schedule which is exciting. We will play Maypearl, Teague, Waco Connally, Mexia, and Lexington. Those will be good games to get us ready for district.”
For volleyball and basketball, Fairfield, Groesbeck, Mexia, and Teague will all compete in 3A Region 3, District 17 along with Buffalo, Elkhart, and Palestine Westwood. Mildred will also be thrown into district play for volleyball.
