Teague drops and will be competing in 3A Division 2 in Region 3, District 11 along with Blooming Grove, Buffalo, Elkhart, Mildred, and Rice.
“Well we knew we were dropping down to Division 2 going in and we had seen about five different predictions of not only districts, but regions. We actually ended up with a different part of two of the five predictions. We ended up in basically one of the districts we thought might happen, but went to Region 3 instead of Region 2 as that prediction placed us in,” Head Coach Zachary Linscomb said. “Until realignment we have been preparing and working to compete against nameless and faceless teams. Now we get to put names and faces to our opponents, as always it’s still about us and how we prepare from now till the season starts. We still have a lot of blood, sweat and tears to put in between now and then to be ready.”
Linscomb noted that even with the changes to the district and division, the Lions still get to compete with their neighbors in Freestone and Limestone Counties in preseason.
